30 April - 12 May 2019 Claremont Town Centre presented 'Off the page'. An art installation inspired by books, paper and print through the streets of Claremont, WA. 15 national and international artists took part.
Following a little walking map, the public could wander the streets and visit all the sites. Jacqs piece 'Flock' was situated outside the popular Italian restaurant called Nolitas. She created 10 recycled copper wire cages containing paper mache birds. The bases were old vintage children's books. They created a beautiful installation all together, hanging from the 'arms' of a giant permanent umbrella. Photography by Taryn Hays, courtesy of FORM, 2019. |
Jacq made 8 of these cages for an exhibition in CASM, Mandurah June 2019 and facilitated a workshop throughout October 2019 where she instructed members of the public on how to make their own. Jacq has made more to take down to Tiny Treasures in November for their annual Tiny Treasures market.
